Congratulations to our Battle of the Books Team for winning the countywide competition on March 11, 2010. It is our first ever win! Best of luck at the regional competition coming up!

"Census in our Schools Week" is March 15-19, 2010. As census forms come home, please complete these documents so that the federal government knows the population of our area and can distribute federal funds based on accurate data.

During the 8th grade academic assembly on February 26, 2010, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) presented Mrs. Brandy Lambert with an award for exemplary teaching of History. Congratulations to Mrs. Lambert! View the March 8, 2010 , Times-News article profiling her.

attle for a Cure's first round of the tournament will be held Friday March 19th after school from 3:30-5:30. Second round of the tournament for those who win their first games will be Friday March 26th after school from 3:30-5:30. Parents, students, family and friends can come watch the event for $3 door fee. We have 32 teams signed up to play. The deadline for $50 entry fee is Wednesday, March 10th. Our goal is to raise over $2,500 for me to walk in the Susan G. Komen 3 day 60 mile walk for the cure. Donations can be made to "Battle for a Cure" and given to myself or a participating team.
